Tyler Andrew Lake

Tyler Andrew Lake, age 25, of Jefferson, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, 6/22/18.

He was born July 26, 1992 in Mayfield Hts.  The son of James W. & Tracy A. (Kertyzak) Lake and has resided in the Jefferson area all of his life.  Tyler was a 2010 graduate of Jefferson Area High School where he played football, participated in track & field and was involved with the youth leadership program. He went on to attend Kent State University.  He was most recently employed with Mohawk Fine Papers.

Tyler was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing and swimming.  He loved animals, music and loved to show off his cooking skills as he was always master of the grill.  Tyler took great pride in being a loving father to his sons, Kash & Keegan.

Tyler is survived by his parents James & Tracy Lake of Jefferson, his son Kash Miller Lake, a step-son Keegan Lawrence Miller, two brothers Matthew W. (Cheyenne) Lake of Windsor Twp. & Kyle J. Lake of Jefferson, a sister, Kailey N. Lake of Jefferson and his grandparents, Franelle & Richard Jones of Jefferson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill & Ileen Lake and Gary Kertyzak.

We will always remember Tyler by his infectious smile, his heart of gold and his respect toward others.  We all love you, and you shall always remain in our hearts forever!  We know God has wrapped his arms around you!

Private services were held with his grandfather, retired pastor Richard Jones as the officiant.  Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery.  A memorial fund in Tyler’s name has been established for his sons, Kash & Keegan.  Contributions can be made and mailed to Chassity Miller, mother of the boys, P.
