Thomas Fellenstein, age 70, S. Ridge West, Harpersfield Twp., died unexpectedly Friday, April 12th at his residence.
He was born September 29, 1948 in Cleveland, the son of the late Joseph C. & Louise T. (Young) Fellenstein. Tom earned a master’s degree from the University of Dayton. He has owned and operated the Raccoon Run Canoe Livery for many years.
Tom was a great outdoorsman. His other activities and positions through the years include teaching at Lake Catholic High School, director of ski school at Alpine Valley Ski Resort, director at Red Oak Camp, was the originator and partner in ECO Adventures, active with River Partner-Grand River Conservancy and was a chef at Springhill Winery.
Tom's survivors include two brothers and a sister, Donald (Karen) Fellenstein of Chardon, Richard (Beth) Fellenstein of Concord Twp. & Judy (Dan) Swain of Charlottesville, VA and several nieces and nephews.
