Theodore Louis Wojcik

January 1, 1926 ~ April 23, 2017 (age 91) 91 Years Old


Theodore L. Wojcik, 91, passed away on Sunday, 23 April 2017, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland OH after a valiant battle with cancer.

 

He was born in Denmark Township OH the 1st of January 1926 to Vincent and Carrie Wojcik. He enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the USS Erben WWII in the Pacific theater. He again served during the Korean War on the USS Preston, and visited a multitude of countries around the world. He was a great Patriot and a proud American.

 

Ted was honored in 2015 as Grand Marshall of the Pierpont Memorial Day Parade and was featured in the Star Beacon.

 

Preceding Ted in entering Heaven were his Parents, his brothers Walter, Stanley, and John, and sisters Jessie Brocklehurst, Julia Mescall, and Sophia DiCarlo.

 

Theodore is survived by and will be greatly missed by his brother Charlie Wojcik (Kathy) of Milford OH; nephews Burton Bartram, Vincent DiCarlo, Victor DiCarlo, and Victor Wojcik; nieces Linda Nappi, Olivia Garrison, Caran Cook, Dawn Wojcik, Amy Cross, Inas Mrabet, Kathy Coach, Carol Harrelson, and Jeanette Wojcik.

 

A Celebration of Life military graveside service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery.  VFW Post #946 of Ashtabula will offer military honors.  The Fleming & Billman Funeral Homes, Jefferson, Ashtabula & Geneva is privileged to serve the Theodore L. Wojcik family.
