Shelva J. Gravley, age 81, formerly E. 47th St., Ashtabula, died Sunday afternoon at the Ashtabula Co. Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where she has resided the past 7 ½ years.
She was born November 17, 1936 in Carrol County, VA, the daughter of Buford & Ulaila (Burchett) Taylor and has resided in Ashtabula since marrying Ralph Gravley on August 10, 1954 in Virginia.
Mrs. Gravley retained her membership at the Fairview United Methodist Church in Fairview, VA. Her pastimes include, sewing, cooking, baking, crafts, flower arranging and collecting porcelain dolls.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra J. Gravley (Kami Niemi) in S. Euclid and a sister, Carol Taylor in Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph in 2000, a brother, Alger Taylor and sisters, Della May Taylor and Anita Dix-Dubach.
Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A. M. in the chapel at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in N. Kingsville. Visitation will be from 10-11 A. M. at the chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004, envelopes will also be at the chapel.
