Ronald L. Jones, age 66, Footville-Richmond Rd., Dorset Twp., died unexpectedly Tuesday evening in the emergency room at the Ashtabula Co. Medical Center.

He was born September 9, 1951 in Ashtabula, the son of Keith L. & Ila M. (Lahner) Jones and has been an Ashtabula Co. resident all of his life.  Ron was married to Mary J. Smith on May 4, 1974 in Kinsman.  Ron and Mary owned and operated Jefferson Tire for many years and in 2016 he retired from Pymatuning Tire.

He attended the Eagleville Bible Church.  Ron enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, riding his Spider Can Am and watching the birds.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, a daughter, Heather L. (Chris) Brenneman of Andover, four grandchildren, Taylor, Jarod, Connor & Kiley Brenneman, a great-grandson, Kaiden Christopher Price, his mother, Ila M. Jones of Andover, a sister, Marla (James) Roncaglione of Bentonville, AK and a brother, Wade (Lisa) Jones of Stillwater, NY.  His father preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held Monday at 11:30 A. M. at the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 St. Rt. 45 North, Rock Creek with the Rev. Bill McMinn officiating.  No calling hours will be observed.  A luncheon will follow the services at the church.
