Richard L. Calvert, Sr., age 86, Walrath Cir., N. Kingsville, died Monday morning at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born February 10, 1932 in Dorset Twp., the son of Lowell & Mary (Kalinsky) Calvert and has resided in Ashtabula County all of his life. He was married to Marjorie A. Burlingame on January 24, 1954 in Austinburg. Mr. Calvert retired in 1997 from Stone Container where he worked for 43 years.
Richard attended both the Lenox Federated Church and the Dorset United Methodist Church. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, farming, motorcycling, camping, traveling and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, two children, Linda M. Bauwin of Lenox Twp. & Richard L. (Arawana) Calvert, Jr. of Ashtabula, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Alice Supplee of Jefferson. His parents, a son-in-law, Jay Bauwin and a sister, Leona Kirby preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be at 12:00 p. m. Saturday at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with the Pastor Rick Havens of the Lenox Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p. m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004.
