Micah D. Nugent, 16 of Ashtabula died Wednesday (August 22nd) at Cleveland Metro Hospital following a swimming accident. He was born November 2, 2001 in Ashtabula the son of Jason and Nita (Rayhawk) Nugent.
He is a member of the Vineyard Church of Cleveland in Parma Hts. He was homeschooled and enjoyed researching information, studying ancient weaponry; collecting and studying all kind of things, discussing politics especially with people who disagreed with him. He really enjoyed science fiction. He loved to spend time with all his siblings, especially his baby sister, Ahavah.
Micah received Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized in 2016. He enjoyed praying for others and speaking words of encouragement. He also loved receiving prayer, and was always responsive to God and the moving of his Spirit.
Surviving him are his parents of Ashtabula, two brothers, Josiah and Zechariah; his two sisters, Selah and Ahavah; his paternal grandparents, Judy and David Nugent of Ashtabula; his maternal grandparents, William and Anna Rayhawk of Cincinnati; his paternal great grandmother, Dorothy Nugent of Jefferson and his maternal great grandparents, Nita and Casey Jones. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Travis and paternal great grandparents, Vera Tyger, Francis Nugent and Edward and Betty Gregor
Funeral service will be Tuesday (August 28th) at 11:00 am at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Micah’s name can be made to the family c/o Jason Nugent. Envelopes will be at the church.
