Martin George Vargo, Jr.

Martin “Marty” G. Vargo Jr, of Jefferson, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018.  He was born February 6, 1942 in Gary, WVA.  The son of Martin G.  & Margaret L. (Fitzer) Vargo Sr.  The family moved to Ohio in 1943.

He graduated from Jefferson High School and worked at Cozier Container and Horner Box in Jefferson.  Marty served honorably in the United States Army Fife & Drum Corps from 1965-1967.  He was an avid sports enthusiast.

Marty is survived by his brothers;  John (Barbara) Vargo of Jefferson, Richard (Darla) Vargo of Jefferson and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Esther (Snyder) Giddings.
