Martha M. Reuschling, age 90, lifelong Jefferson area resident, died early Tuesday morning at her residence with family by her side.
She was born August 21, 1928 in Jefferson, the daughter of Herman & Vida (Camp) Ahonen. Martha was married to Donald L. Reuschling on July 16, 1949 at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church. She was employed several years at Cardinal Federal Savings & Loan.
Martha enjoyed walking, traveling, sewing, reading, camping and enjoying time with family and friends. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; five children, Frederick L. (Diane) Reuschling of Rock Creek, Michael F. (Wyndy) Reuschling of Ashland, Diane M. (John) Hill of Andover, Cathy A. (Jon) Merz & Donna J. (Greg) Perz, both of Chardon; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Reuschling; a brother, Herman Ahonen, Jr. and a sister, Helen Roth.
The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, 36 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson with the Rev. Fr. John Ettinger officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-6 PM and Saturday from 10-10:45 AM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
