Marilyn Rae (Lucas) Mick

Marilyn R. Mick, age 73, E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, died Friday evening at the Ashtabula Co. Medical Center.

She was born December 13, 1943 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Dewey G. & Lucy M. (Sparks) Lucas and has been an Ashtabula Co. resident all her life.  She was married to Earl Richard Mick on May 21, 1981 in Jefferson.  Through the years Marilyn worked for W. T. Grants, the Anderson Shopping Center and the Firch Baking Co.

 Marilyn attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed being with friends, loved animals, especially her cat and working in the flower bed.

Survivors include seven step-children, Richard C. Mick of Sandusky, Alan D. Mick of S. Rockwood, MI, Thomas W. Mick of Conneaut, Ronald G. Mick & Rodney N. Mick, both of Richmond Twp., Shirley Holcomb of Salt Lake City, UT & Sheila Taylor of Akron, 23 step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephew and step-nieces and nephews, a God daughter, Carrie McJunkin of Lewis Center and her best friend, Paula Debold of Talmadge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Richard Mick in 2006, brothers, Donald & Robert Lucas and a sister, Helen Hackathorn.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, 12/12, at 1:00 P. M. at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev.
