Margaret Stoneman, age 87 died Friday August 23, 2019 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Ashtabula.
Born Sept. 23, 1931 in Virginia, she was the youngest child of nine; the daughter of Bert & Lemmie. She married Billy Stoneman on July 11, 1952.
Margaret was a full-time homemaker and Bill’s co-pilot while driving truck. She enjoyed camping, picnic’s, traveling (especially taking rides), boating, sewing, crocheting, holidays and going out to eat. Margaret was truly one of a kind. She will be remembered for her easy-going attitude, one who was ready to give you anything she had and to spend as much time as she could with her family and friends.
Margaret enjoyed sharing stories of her younger years. She especially loved telling about the fun she and Bill had. She enjoyed the memories she made with her nieces and nephews and cherished them dearly.
Margaret loved anything red, the Crow’s Nest, having a party and was a dog lover. She made you feel warm and welcomed and always included everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Bill) March. Granddaughters, Katrina (Jason Hadsell) March, Kelly (Chris) Curry. Grandchildren, Kennedy, Grant, Christopher & Khloe and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents and eight siblings preceded her in death.
Her family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for their care and support.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 2-4 PM at Kister Marina Pavilion in the Ashtabula Harbor.
