Lou Ann Heino Obituary

 

Lou Ann Heino, 78 of Ashtabula, Ohio died Friday (July 5th)  in the Hospice Unit at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born January 24, 1941 in Jefferson, Ohio the daughter of Maynard and Lizbeth (Smith) Robinson and has been a lifetime area resident.

She was a graduate of Edgewood High School and had been employed at the Ashtabula Star Beacon in the editorial department and then at Union Carbide in the office.

She married John Heino in January of 1997.

Lou Ann was an active member of the Kingsville Baptist Church where she helped in the nursery and also was a librarian at the church.  She also was a member of the Women’s Society at the church.

She enjoyed reading, playing games, gardening, going on car rides and she was a wonderful homemaker. She also had done a lot of traveling in her younger years.

Surviving her is her husband; a son, Scott (Jane) Hall of Columbus; a daughter, Kate (Gary) Taylor of Columbus; two step-children, Mary Ruth (Michael) Maxin of Columbiana, Ohio and John T. (Suzanne) Heino of Youngstown, Ohio five grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, Abigail, John M. and Emily; four sister-in-law’s,  Elizabeth Lyon of Ashtabula, Margie Miller of Austinburg, Mary Buckley of Concord, Ohio and Barbara Heino of Treasure Island, Florida; nieces and nephews and several close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jane Dixon and Lena Mae DeVore.

Funeral service will be Wednesday (July 10th) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. David Hines of Kingsville Baptist Church. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday (July 9th) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the Kingsville Baptist Church, 6003 State Route 193, Kingsville, Ohio 44048.
