Loma L. Stone, age 87, Dorset Twp. resident, died early Wednesday morning at the Jefferson Healthcare Center with family by her side.
She was born September 26, 1931 in Cleveland, the daughter of John P. & Adeline D. (Miller) Brandon and has spent most of her life in this area. She was married to Ray R. Stone on November 11, 1950. Mrs. Stone was a cashier for many years at Golden Dawn grocery store in Jefferson.
She attended the Dorset Baptist Church. Her greatest enjoyment was her large family, she also enjoyed gambling, dancing, music and traveling.
Survivors include ten children, Bonnie (Jack) Ogle of Rock Creek, Ray (Donna) Stone, Jr. of Geneva, Curtis (Carolyn) Stone of Jefferson, Dorothy (Jeff) Jewell of Dorset, Adeline (Bob) White of Jefferson, Linda (Mike) Riffle of Saybrook Twp., Ricky (Ileana) Stone of Dayton, John (Donna) Stone of Ashtabula, Tammy (Leroy) Davis of Andover & Joseph (Bobbie) Stone of Denmark Twp.; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Fran Goodale of Connecticut.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray in 2010 and a brother, John Brandon, Jr.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, 6/15/19, at 2:30 PM at Dorset Cemetery. No visitation will be held.
