Kevin A. Slusher, age 52, Eagleville Rd., Austinburg Twp., died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon in the emergency room at UH-Geneva Medical Center.
He was born March 1, 1965 in Conneaut, the son of Wilford F. & Carol L. (Betts) Slusher and has been an Ashtabula Co. resident most of his life. Kevin was a truck driver with Dick Lavy Trucking Co. and has previously worked as a mechanic and did welding.
He was married to Tracy A. Evens on March 30, 2006 in Jefferson. Kevin was a former member of the Madison VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching television, playing video games and was learning to play the guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy, three children, Meagan L. Slusher of Fenellton, PA, Nicole M. (David) Majors of Butler, PA & Taylor J. Slusher of Evans City, PA, two step-children, Tiana N. (Dakota) Brown of Ashtabula & Tate A. Evens of Jefferson, five grandchildren, his mother, Carol (Harold) Dillon of Andover, his father, Wilford (Diane) Slusher of Salt Lake, WI, a brother, Kent E. (Linda Baynor) Slusher of Suffolk, VA & a sister, Kim L. LaRusch of Andover.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 5:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with the Pastor Les Bolen officiating. Geneva VFW Post #6846 will offer military honors Thursday at the funeral home.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-5 P. M. prior to the service.
