Kenneth Howard Brace

Dr. Kenneth H. Brace, age 85, of Lake Rd. W., died at his residence on January 6, 2019.  He was born on January 25, 1933 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Burt & Laura (Forbes) Brace.

He made his career as a family physician for nearly 40 years before his retirement in 1997.  He received his bachelors and M.D. degrees from Ohio State University. He enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden, collecting Ashtabula Harbor history memorabilia, and reading. 

He is survived by his children, Michael H. (Cecilia) Brace of Newbury, OH, Karen (Greg) Plavcan of Danville, KY, Arthur D. (Carmen Brun) Brace of Belmont, CA; grandchildren, Kyle M. Plavcan of Orlando, FL and Justin E. Plavcan of Jacksonville, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia Brace in 2014, and sister Eleanor Brace.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula from 5:00-7:00 P. M. In lieu of flowers, for those wishing to make a memorial contribution, please do so to a charity of choice.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 A. M. at Saybrook Cemetery.
