Karen Lee Stafford, 70, passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2018 at Tuscawilla Nursing and Rehab Center in Winter Springs, Fla. She was born June 1, 1947 in Ashtabula, Ohio the daughter of Raymond and Jean (Brownlee) Stafford. Karen was a 1965 graduate of Ashtabula High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University College of Elementary Education. She taught 4th grade, 1st grade, and Title 1 Reading while she lived in Ohio.
Karen is survived by her sister Brenda (Stafford) Quickel (Dave), Atlanta Georgia, niece Jill Quickel (Jeremy), Boston Massachusetts, nephew Mike Quickel (Meg), Rockville, Maryland, great nieces Audrey and Maggie, and great nephew David Michael.
Karen was a long time resident of Tuscawilla Nursing and Rehab Center, Winter Springs, Florida. She enjoyed playing Bingo, singing songs during Music Programs, and participating in all activities. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Tuscawilla Nursing and Rehab Center for their kindness and care for Karen.
Karen will long be remembered for her sweet smile, gentleness, and kindness to others.

A Funeral Mass will be Saturday (July 28th) at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace, St. Joseph Church 3312 Lake Ave. Ashtabula. Burial will be at Ridgeview Cemetery.
