Joseph J. Wilson, 87 of North Bend Rd Ashtabula died Saturday, June 29th at the Carrington Park Nursing Home. He was born February 10, 1932 in Conneaut the son of William and Eva (McNeil) Wilson.
He was a graduate of Boys Town in Nebraska. He was also a veteran of the US Navy during the Korean Conflict serving from 1951 until November of 1955.
Joseph had been employed with SCM until his retirement. He was also a life member of the Ashtabula Elks and a member of American Legion Post#103.
Surviving him are in two sons, Darren (Cynthia) Alhstrom of Cortland, Ohio and Dennis “Mike” (Paula) Alhstrom of Ashtabula and five grandchildren, Derrick, Erin, Melissa, Neil and Alanis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Carol in 2012; a grandson, Joel Ethan Alhstrom; a brother, William Wilson and a sister JoAnn Westerburg.
The Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post # 151 will conduct military rites on Wednesday (July 3rd) at 1:00PM at Greenlawn Memory Gardenis in North Kingsville, Ohio.
