My deepest sympathies to Jack's family. I'm an LPN at one of the nursing homes that Jack frequently came to, to visit our hospice patients. I will always remember his respectful and calm demeanor. I loved chatting with him. God Bless all of you.

I remember during our football practices in high school when Jack would leave me bloody from the scrimmages. He was a brute with a big and kind heart. He will always be fondly remembered. Prayers to the family..

We are so sorry for your loss. Jack showed so much compassion for others,he was a natural fit for my husband when on Hospice.

I'll never forget how very, very pleased I was that evening 2010 when dear Mr. Maylish showed up to sit with my mother who'd been unconscious for several hours but still hanging on. I was exhausted. He insisted I go home to get some rest. I did. And he was with her when she took her least breaths. He was so compassionate and understanding. I knew, then, why his children whom I had taught at JAHS were so nice and smart and respectful of us teachers.

our thoughts and prayers are with Jack's family. None of you would know us but my folks were great friends of Jack and Sally's and we spent a lot of time with them when the boys were around high school age so we knew them all. My Dad worked with Jack at G.E. We have fond memories of great meals at their house and will always laugh at Sally's story of a weasel running through a cake she had made! God bless you all during this most difficult time.

Jack was the Hospice volunteer who sat with my mother many hours and was with her when she passed on September 26, 2013. He was a kind and gentle man and was a great comfort to our family. My most sincere condolences to his loved ones.
