John E. Uhase, 67 of Ashtabula died Thursday (March 29th) at his home after a long illness. He was born in Geneva, Ohio on November 3, 1950 the son of Edward and Violet (Colucci) Uhase. And has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a graduate of Geneva High School and had been employed by Ashtabula Rubber Company until his retirement.
He was a certified SCUBA diver; who enjoyed photography and all Cleveland sports; the Browns; Cavs and Indians and was a big Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Surviving him is his lifelong partner, Deborah Lawson; two children, Christopher (Arvonda) Uhase of Ashtabula and Tara Uhase of Ashtabula; two grandchildren, Michael and Spencer and three brothers, Joseph (Cynthia) Uhase of Ashtabula, Jeffery Uhase of Hawaii and Jim Uhase of Las Angeles, CA.. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brad Uhase by a nephew, Michael Lawson and aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be Wednesday (April 4th)a 1:00 PM at the Geneva Church of Christ, 1007 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with Pastor Paul Brunsnan officiating.
