Hattie M. (Keen) Gildersleeve, age 95, a resident of Saybrook Landing the past six and a half years, died there on Friday afternoon, 11/17/17.

She was born August 1, 1922 in Tazewell, WV, the daughter of Albert & Barbara (McGlothlin) Keen, coming to Saybrook Twp. from Cleveland. 

Mrs. Gildersleeve spent much of her life raising children.  She was of the Pentecostal faith, she loved music, singing and playing the guitar.  She loved family time and spent much of her time praying for people.

She is survived by nine children; Ella Mae Lester of Liberty, SC, Betty Jean (Ed) Lester of Six Mile, SC, Janice Marie Burgoon of Jefferson, Jim (Pat) Robinson of Newark, Sandra Ann Robinson Long of Cleveland, Stanley (Sandy) Robinson of Canyonville, OR, Dannie (Carolyn) Addair of Kingsville Twp., Sheila Addair (David Jordan) of Cleveland & Marilyn Addair of Cleveland, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two half-sisters, Brenda (Bobby) Keen Coleman of Bracey, VA & Linda Marie (Mark) Keen Dreyer of Richmond, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother; Beatrice Honaker, three husbands; Sherley Robinson, Jess Addair & Charles Gildersleeve, two sons; Larry Allen & Ronald Lee Robinson, two brothers; Jess Keen & Perry in infancy and two sisters; Mable Keen Belcher & Edith Keen Rife.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P. M. Monday, 11/20/17 at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Robert Falke of the Church of the Living God officiating.  Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
