Gary Childs Hall born on August 24, 1935, died Saturday, March 25 at the David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve.  Gary was born in Conneaut, Ohio to Harold William Hall and Leota (Childs) Hall and was an only child.  In 1960  he married his wife, Darlene of 56 years.    He is survived by his wife Darlene (Haulter) Hall,  daughter Kelly (Greg) Eippert, son Jay (Angela) Hall and 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Allyson, Gino, Antonio and Adriana.  He resided in Ashtabula for over 45 years and moved to Mentor in July to be closer to his family.

Gary is an Army veteran and served between the years of 1955-58. He grew up in Conneaut, Ohio and was an avid athlete under coach Andrew Garcia at Conneaut High School.  Gary loved reciting stories of Coach Garcia who made a lifelong impression on him.  He continued his education and athletic career at Kent State University playing Division I football, basketball and track.  From there he went to the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago.  His career path was inspired by his numerous sports injuries and he became motivated to help other people.  He began his Chiropractic practice in Conneaut but soon moved to Ashtabula where he retired nearly 20 years ago.

Gary’s most enjoyable hobby was playing golf.  He coached Little League Baseball for several years while his son, Jay played.  He was also a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church and served as an usher and deacon throughout his time there. He was a member of the 25th Masonic District Evergreen Lodge #222 in Conneaut, Ohio.  Gary had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh and tell stories. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
