Frank E. Hadley, 71 of Ashtabula died Friday (May 19th) at the David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid, Ohio. He was born May 10, 1946 in Warren, Ohio the son of John Leslie and Pauline (Bower) Hadley.

Frank graduated from Edgewood High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He was a veteran of the US Army from 1969 to 1972 serving for a year in Vietnam.

He married Diane Marshand on April 8, 1972. He was employed with Carlisle’s Department Store for over twenty years and retired from Welded Tubes in Orwell in 2009.

He enjoyed golfing, sailing, reading and gardening. He loved fixing and remodeling his home. He also loved his companion, his dog “Trixie”.

Surviving him is his wife Diane; a daughter, Gina (Joe) Budd of Ashtabula; a son, Kurt Hadley of Ashtabula; two brothers, Robert (Kathleen) Hadley of Arkansas and Doug (Priscilla) Hadley of Florida and two sisters, Joyce (Bruce) Carpenter of Kingsville and Roberta (Howard) Wentz of Denmark Township. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be Tuesday (May 23rd) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory,  526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with his brother, Rev. Robert Hadley officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville with American Legion Post #103 conducting military rites.
