Everett “Clyde” Ludwick, age 87, E. Mulberry St., Jefferson, died Thursday morning at his residence following a long illness.
He was born September 4, 1930 in Romney, WV, the son of Jesse O. & Lela Pearl (Knott) Ludwick and has lived in Jefferson since 1989, coming from Painesville. Mr. Ludwick was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of the Neff-Perkins Corp. in Perry.
He was a member of the Painesville Church of the Nazarene and attended the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing carpentry work and cutting wood.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. (Parnell) Ludwick, whom he married on August 6, 1988 at the Painesville Church of the Nazarene, four children, John E. Ludwick & Michael A. (Kristen) Ludwick, both of Painesville and Virginia A. Nelson & Jamie C. (Dennis) Costella, both of Jefferson, extended family Shelby Shallenberger & Penny J. Crowe, both of Mt. Pleasant, PA, nine grandchildren and seven siblings, Laura, Henry, Robert, Ray, Rachel, Ruth & Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary L. (Root) Ludwick and three siblings, Elmer, Willard & Dorothy.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Monday at 12:00 P. M. at Western Reserve Memorial Park with Erin Valenti, assistant pastor of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
