Ethel (Mulholland) Olekshuk

Alice Olekshuk, 93 of  Ashtabula died  Wednesday (Dec. 12th) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born November 2, 1925 in Ashtabula the daughter of Norman Lee and Grace (Sutherlin) Mulholland and has been a lifetime area resident.

She was a 1944 graduate of Ashtabula High School.

She enjoyed doing cross word puzzles; watching cooking shows on TV and reading.

Surviving her are two daughters, Janet (Doug) Bevins of Pikeville, Kentucky and Mary Alice Lewandowski of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Christine Bevins, Rebecca Bevins and Johndra (Rex) Patterson; a great granddaughter, Ronetta Keathley; her beloved cat “Casey”; her brothers and sisters, Ervin Mulholland of Daltona Beach, Florida; James Mulholland of Springfield, MO; John “JD” (Diana) Mulholland of Jerome, PA; Marcy Durey of California, and Norma Jean Scott of California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip Steve Olekshuk in 2011; two sisters, Judy Dragon and Berneta Rhodes and two brothers, Thomas and Robert Mulholland.

Visitation will be Tuesday (Dec.18th) from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory with a graveside service on Tuesday at 11:30 am at Gageville Cemetery, Plymouth Gageville Rd. in Sheffield Twp. with Pastor John Jones of the Lighthouse Baptist Church officiating.
