Eloise Anne Lecy, 94 of Madison, Ohio died Sunday (July 15th) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1924 in Sacred Heart, Minnesota the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn (Otis) Howell.
She moved to Lyndhurst, Ohio in 1954 from Minnesota where she worked as an administrative assistant on the Blossom Estate for nearly 40 years. She was an active member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Lyndhurst, serving as a Sunday School teacher, organist, and Ladies Circle.
She was a wonderful cook and did catering for Hough Bakeries. She moved to Madison in 1993. She loved her family, her faith and music.
She was loving mother to Mary (Bob) Argo of Lyndhurst and Kaye (Glenn) Thomas of North Kingsville; mother-in-law to Joann Lecy of Mentor; grandmother to Jason (Heather) Argo, Kristin (David) Cohen, Eric (Amanda) Lecy, Bethany (Chris) Juncker, Daniel Peel and Taylor (Joey) Brown and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Wallace; her son, Dean Lecy; her brother, Charles Howell and her sister, Irma Schlemmer.
Funeral service will be Wednesday (July 18th) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Pastor Michael Meranda officiating. Burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Park in Chesterland.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
