Durward was an actual true American. I always enjoyed talking to him at bi-lo.
his spirit and love for America will be greatly missed.

One of the friendliest, kindest, cheerful and helpful men I have ever met. I enjoyed shopping at Bi Lo just to see him. We have lost a very dear man but heaven gained a very special angel.

Sweetest man and proud soldier. We talked about gardening and we always had a running gag. He would be bagging my groceries, paper not plastic no matter what I chose, and I'd ask him how he was doing. He always responded, "not as pretty as you!" Durward I promise I will always pick up my paper bags from the bottom and I'm grateful that I got to be a part of your world. Rest easy soldier. God bless.
