Donald B. Lynch, age 70, Jefferson, died Thursday afternoon at his residence surrounded by family after a short battle with brain cancer.
He was born July 11, 1948 in Franklin, PA, the son of Harvey T. & Georgianna B. (Porter) Lynch and has been a resident of this area his entire life. Donald married his wife of 41 years, Debra L. Harris on September 17, 1977 at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland. He worked various automotive jobs throughout his life.
Donald’s interests included spending time with his family, fishing, camping and being outdoors. He was a member of the Northeast Ohio Model A Club.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; three children, Melissa A. (Philip) Oeffner of Jefferson, Steven T. (Molly) Lynch of Ashtabula & Jayne L. (Tom Glassburner) Lynch of Rock Creek; five grandsons, Brandon & Connor Oeffner, Hunter & Harvey Lynch and Hayden Glassburner and two sister-in-laws, Lucille Lynch of Dayton &Tina (Mitch Abdallah) Mizer of Westlake. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Lynch.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-6 PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. No additional services will be held at this time. A private burial will be held at a later date.
