David J. “D. J.” Barron, 60, of Jefferson, OH, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening Jan. 9, 2019.
Born May 14, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, son of Paul “Pete” & Florence “Babe” (Hawer) Barron. He and his wife have been residents of Jefferson for the past 28 years. They were married on November 23, 1990 in Acme, PA.
D. J. was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and earned his degree from Penn State University. He was employed by ETC Environmental Technology Corp. in Madison for the past 33 years and became a partner and Vice President. His wife, family and pets were his greatest enjoyment. Throughout his life he enjoyed to fish and trap, motorcycle riding, metal detecting, and gardening.
He is survived by the love of his life, Deborah “Debi”(Stillman) Barron; three children, Alissa J. (Randy) Overly of Norvelt, PA, Jason D. (Brianne) Summy of Greensburg, PA & Megan L. (John) Bartic of Conneaut Lake, PA; five grandchildren; a sister, Sandra L. Hamm of Normalville, PA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by, a brother, Paul “Pete” Barron and a sister, Linda Harshman.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 from 3-6 PM at Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (in memory of friends & family), 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106, envelopes will be at the funeral home.
