Daniel Joseph Dolan, age 61, of Ashtabula, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 22, 2019. He was born October 29, 1957 in Willoughby, the son of the late William & Jean (Worthington) Dolan. He attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Wickliffe and then graduated from Jefferson Area High School in 1976 and remained a lifelong area resident.
Dan was very passionate about his company, All-Pro Transport, Inc. in Ashtabula. He cared deeply about all of his employees and was very proud of his 26 years of hard work and dedication as the Chief Financial Officer. He was an avid golfer, loved to travel and spending pool time with his family, especially the grandkids.
One of Dan’s favorite trips was his road trip to Maine with his wife in the fall of 2017. He always talked about going back to the cozy cabin on Mount Desert Island. Dan was a very kind, giving and social person and enjoyed his Wednesday Supper Club with friends and making new friends at the bar after golfing. Dan was a simple man with a heart of gold and left a strong impact on everyone he touched. He was a wonderful husband and best friend to Sue. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dan is survived by his wife, Susan (Batanian) Dolan; former wife, Debbie (Prine) Dolan; children, Andy (Libby) Dolan, Danielle (Jeff) DiDonato and Melissa Gillespie; grandchildren, Jack & Millie Dolan and Alexandra, Quinn & Avery DiDonato; brother, Bill (Marie) Dolan, Bob (Kim) Dolan & Terry (Sandy) Dolan and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gregory Dolan on July 8, 1987.
