Agnes Emma Gene Hruska, 90 of Jefferson died Thursday (August 1st) at her home. She was born April 16, 1929 in Denmark, Ohio the daughter of Arthur and Clara (Scott) Hanson.
She married William Hruska on June 11, 1949 in Denmark, Ohio.
Her first job was with the Star Beacon, later she worked at SCM Chemical; Horner Box Co.; Burns Construction and Ron Cheech CPA.
She was a member of the Jefferson Grange and the Farm Bureau. She enjoyed reading, knitting, quilting, crocheting, sewing and making her own clothes, gardening and canning. She loved traveling along with her husband to Bradenton, Florida in the winter.
Surviving her is a daughter, Marlene Ondrejovic of Jefferson; a son, Will (Ramona) Hruska, Jr of Jefferson two grandchildren, Christopher Hruska and Kelsey Hruska; a brother, James (Beverly) Hanson of Denmark, and four sisters, Eleanor (James) Shirk of Kingsville, Shirley Smith of Riverview, Florida, Esther (Pete) Jurcenko of Iowa and Mary Dumperth of Geneva. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William “Bill”, three sisters, Anna Mofitt, Arlene Stasny and Ruby Williams and two brothers, Jack and Donald Hanson.
Graveside service will be Tuesday (August 6th) at 1:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery in Jefferson.
