She spent her winters in Naples, Florida and her summers in Canadohta Lake, Pa. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, cooking and she was known for her cabbage rolls.
Surviving her is her husband, George Clark whom she married June 10, 1995; two daughters, Aldine Roxberry of Naples, Florida and Kristie (Tom Drake) Lechefsky of Edinboro; two sons, Jerry (Jane) Davis of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Mark Davis of Naples, Florida; four step-children, Raymond Cedar of Ashtabula, Barry Cedar of California, Judy Andrejak of Ashtabula and Barb Edixon of Kingsville; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four brothers, Richard Palmer of Tenn., Robert Palmer of California, Harry Prine of Jefferson and Delno Prine of Ashtabula. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Harry Prine; her first husband, Howard Davis, her second husband, Paul Cedar; a son, Paul Davis; a daughter, Penny Adams ; two granddaughters, Cathy Davis and Theresa Summers; 2 brothers, Paul Palmer and Charles Prine and two sisters, Ella Jean Palmer and Eleanor Ann Prine.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army in the European Theater of Operations where he was involved with D-Day plus one and the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a self employed contractor in Ashtabula until his retirement.
He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashtabula. He enjoyed hunting, fishing bowling and he was an avid golfer who shot his age into his 70’s. He was also an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Surviving him are his two sons, Steve (Karen) Bish of Milton, Pa. and Brad (Phyllis) Bish of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Nathan Bish, Gretchen Kim and Lindsay Schminder; one great grandchild, Eli Kim; two brothers, Paul and Ken Bish of Ashtabula and a sister, Donna Bibbee of Ashtabula. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia in 1995; a brother, Arnold Bish and a sister, Helen Miller.

He was a graduate of Painesville Harvey High School. He was a dedicated employee at Aqua American in Mentor for 31 years.
Mike enjoyed deer hunting both bow and gun and managed to get two this season. He also enjoyed the fellowship he shared with his Christian friends. He also enjoyed fishing and in his younger years played roller hockey, baseball and won several awards in speed skating. Mike coached bitty and midget basketball, T-ball, little and senior league baseball.
Mike was a member of Peoples Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance attending since 1996. Mike was a good husband and a good father and cherished his “little Princess” Trinity his granddaughter.
Surviving him are his wife of 33 years, Anna (Andrusis) Willhoite; three sons, Michael Jr. of Chardon, Shawn of Austinburg and Joshua of Rock Creek; a granddaughter Trinity Ann Willhoite and his father, George Willhoite of Painesville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances and his two brothers, Kenneth and Steve.

Ellis “Ike” Rockhill, 89 of Maple Hts, Ohio died Tuesday (March 2nd) at the Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born August 17, 1920 in Rock Creek, Ohio the son of Clarence and Mae (Parker) Rockhill.
He had been a Deputy Sheriff in Ashtabula County; had worked for the True Temper Company and had owned two bars, one Medina and one in Cleveland.
He is survived by ten nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clement C. Rockhill and Wesley Rockhill and by a sister, Sylvia Cerjan.

Thomas J. Perew, 63 of West Hollywood, California and former Ashtabula resident died Friday (Feb. 26th) at the Sun Rise Assisted Living in Santa Monica, California. He was born December 20, 1946 in Ashtabula the son of Edmund F and Monica (O’Brian) Perew.
He was a 1964 graduate of Edgewood High School; he received his bachelor’s in education from Bowling Green State University and a masters from Edinboro State University. He also attended California State University and the University of Southern California where he was in the field of professional writing. Before moving to California he taught English at Wallace H. Braden Junior High School. He had worked for Merv Griffin, Dinah Shore, Dolly Parton, Phyllis Diller and Joan and Melissa Rivers. He received a Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement and 10 Emmy nominations for various TV shows. He was inducted in 2008 into the Edgewood Alumni Association Hall of Fame.
He loved golf, camping in the wilderness, fixing cars, having coffee and hot dogs at the Home Depot. His last meal he enjoyed was peanut butter with Cooper Endicott, Melissa Rivers’s son and Joan Rivers’s grandson. He was a gentleman and a honorable human being.
Surviving him is his Aunt, Adah A. Lamborn of Ashtabula. His Aunt Adah was his nurse when he was born at Ashtabula General Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service will be Tuesday (March 9th) at 1:00 PM at the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery on Carpenter Rd. in Saybrook Township with Rev. Father Philip Miller of St. Joseph Church officiating.

Deborah J. Clark, 59 of Clay St. Jefferson died Saturday (Feb. 27th) in the Hospice Unit at the Ashtabula County Medical Center after a year long battle with bone cancer. She was born Jan. 11, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Theodore and Peggy (Branch) Clark.
She enjoyed crocheting, and collecting angels and clowns. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and was a loving, giving person who touched many hearts.

Judith A. Vosmik, age 68, formerly of Oak Hollow Dr., Austinburg, died Saturday morning at the Saybrook Landing.
She was born August 12, 1941 in Youngstown the daughter of Francis H. & Pauline (Cohol) Turner and has lived in the Jefferson area most of her life. She formerly worked at the Orwell Golden Dawn and operated the Wright Place in New Lyme Twp. for several years. She was married to Joseph R. Vosmik on July 6, 1981 in Franklintown, PA. She traveled for 13 years with her husband while in the military, spending much of that time in Gulfport, MS. Mrs. Vosmik enjoyed crafts, crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include three children, Randy & Brenda Carr of Rome Twp., Kevin & Kellie Carr of New Lyme Twp. and Charleen & Don Perry of Jefferson, 10 grandchildren, Jenny, Mitchell, Jennifer, Joe, Brittany, Lyndsay, Angel, Curtis, Samantha & Joe, a great-grandchild, Jayden and a brother, Dennis Turner of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph in 1994 and two brothers, Ronald & Richard Turner.

Lena M. Reigelman, age 99, W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, died Wednesday evening at the Jefferson Healthcare Center where she had been a resident the past four years.
She was born November 3, 1910 in Harmonsburg, PA, the daughter of George B. & Cora J. (Gaugh) Rhoades and has lived in Jefferson since 1978, coming from Greenville, PA. She was married to Arthur A. Reigelman on July 3, 1935 in Greenville. Mrs. Reigelman worked as a nurse for many years at St. Paul’s Home in Greenville before her retirement.
She was a former member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville and now a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church, the Grandmothers Club, the O. K. Rebakah Lodge #681, former member of the Rebakahs & Pythian Sisters in Greenville and the Jefferson Community Sr. Citizen Center.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Lewis W. Leary of Jefferson, four grandsons, Gregg (Lynn) Leary of Jefferson, Brad (Teena) Leary of Warren, PA, Sid (Sandy) Leary of Jefferson & Jeff (Dawn) Leary of Conover, NC, nine great-grandchildren and a brother, Delbert Rhoades of Wickliffe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur, a daughter, Mary Jane Leary in 2005, four sisters, Ellen Weir, Hazel Smith, Grace Brakeman & Lyrel Wegmiller and five brothers, Earl, Gordon, Russell, Donald & Glenn Rhoades.

Martha “Marty” J. March, 77 of Chapel Road Saybrook Twp. died Thursday (Feb. 18th) at her home. She was born January 5, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio the daughter of Virginia Heath of Austinburg.
Martha graduated from John Glenn High School in New Concord, Ohio in 1950, she then came to Ashtabula and attended modeling school in Cleveland and then went on to attend business school. She married William “Bill” March in 1953.
She worked for the Ashtabula Telephone Co., The Star Beacon and drove school bus for the Ashtabula City Schools until 1991 and then went on to become the transportation supervisor. She won many state bus rodeos and went on to the nationals. She was a Commercial Driver License Instructor for the Ashtabula Area City Schools. She retired from bus transportation in 2008.
She had a love for horses, cattle, farming and gardening. She was a great supporter of the 4H youth at the Ashtabula Co. Fair. She purchased many animals from the market animal sale. She purchased the one millionth dollar steer sold in 2008. She was a very avid bowler and attended national bowling competitions winning many trophy’s. She was a member of the Ashtabula United Methodist Church.
Surviving her is her mother, Virginia Heath of Austinburg; two sons, William (Kathy) March of Ashtabula and Dale (Chriss) March of Jefferson; a daughter, Kathleen Howe of Jefferson; five grandchildren, Katrina and Kelly March, Brian and Jason March and Corey Howe; 3 great-grandchildren, Avery and Alexander March and Darcy Howe. She was preceded in death by father, Lewis Heath and her husband Bill in 2006.
Martha was a hard worker and always strived for better things. She will be greatly missed by all and her loving dog “Cheyenne”. The family would like to thank Hospice off the Western Reserve for their comfort and caring during this difficult time.

Robbie R. Reho, Jr. 20 of Garrison Rd. Plymouth Twp died Monday (Feb. 15th) at Cleveland Metro Hospital as a result of a traffic accident. He was born November 25, 1989 in Ashtabula the son of Robert R. Reho, Sr. and Linda L. (Davis) Reho and has been a lifetime area resident.
He enjoyed working on things and was very mechanical. He also enjoyed fishing, riding his ATV, shooting pool and video games.
Surviving him are his mother, Linda L. (Daryle Corley) Reho of Plymouth Township; his father, Robert R. (Betty) Reho, Sr. of Orwell; a daughter, Alexis E. Reho of Madison; a sister, Samathja L. F. Norene Morris, age 89, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Geneva Village Retirement Center. Norene was born July 17, 1920 in California PA, daughter of Francis Patrick and Nora Mae (George) Skehan. At age 3 she sang and danced on the vaudeville stage with her father. Later she was part of the Ashtabula Community players. She was a graduate of West Technical High School in 1938 and married Paul C. Morris June 7, 1940.
She was always involved as a volunteer in community organizations. She was an active member of Lakewood Methodist Church in Cleveland then United Methodist Church in Ashtabula. She was President of the Women’s Society, head of the Youth group, and taught adult and children’s classes.
Norene worked as a secretary at American Greeting Card Co., Cleveland and then at Carlisle’s in the home and fabric department. At the age of 57 she became an instructor at Grace Christian Academy, teaching music, Bible classes, reading, and was director of the bell choir for 10 yrs. She fulfilled her life long dream of writing at age 72 when she published the first of four novels. They are now combined under one title “Tumbleweeds”. Other interests were dolls, sewing, public speaking, book reviews, and doll talks.
Norene is survived by 3 children; Sharleen Ann (Wayne) Rositano of Mentor; and Paula Norene (Jon) Stevenson of Jefferson; Allen Earl (Vicky)Morris of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren,and 30 great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 52 yrs. Paul C. Morris; her parents,Francis and Nora (George) Skehan; her infant brother Robert L. Skehan and her grandson Scott Allen Rositano.
Memorial service will be held 11:30 am, Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, OH with Rev. Meredith D. Coleman officiating.

He was born December 7, 1957 in Cleveland, the son of Harry D. & Mary (Matousek) Tenan, Jr. and has lived in Jefferson the past nine years, coming from Cleveland. He was a graduate of West High School in Cleveland and has been employed with W. W. Tool & Cutter Grinding Co. in Jefferson the past eight years.
His enjoyments included motorcycles, muscle cars, farming and tractor pulls.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Tenan of Jefferson, his grandmother, Mary Matousek of Jefferson, three brothers, Patrick (Janice) Tenan of Pierpont Twp., Robert Tenan & Kris (Deborah) Tenan, both of Garfield Hts. and nine nieces and nephews, Wesley, Lauren, Heather, Nicole, Jeff, Brenda, Matt & Angela Tenan and Jenn Nagy.

Georgia A. (Saulter) Clemson, age 93, formerly of High St., Rock Creek, died Tuesday evening at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 11, 1916 in Rock Creek, the daughter of William R. & Marie E. (Curie) Saulter and has been a Rock Creek resident all of her life. She was a graduate of Rock Creek High School and was married to Lee A. Clemson on October 7, 1934 at the Rock Creek Methodist Church.
Mrs. Clemson worked at Sanborn Wire then was employed with Ackerman Insurance before retiring in 1977. She was a deputy registrar, a member of the Rock Creek Untied Methodist Church where she was organist more than 55 years and played for many weddings and funerals, the Traveler’s Club, IOOF, Rebekah Chapter, the Rock Creek Grange and Maple Grove Grange. She enjoyed sewing and was active with the Rock Creek Schools when her children were growing up.
Survivors include three children, Larry L. (Connie) Clemson of St. Petersburg, FL, Beverly A. (Ron) Hrovat of Mentor-on-the-Lake & Carol D. (Edward) Smith of Buckhannon, WV, 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Muriel J. Myers of Kinsman and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee in 1983, former daughter-in-law, Shirley Clemson in 2009 and a great-granddaughter, Rachel Riley.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 15 at 1:00 P. M. at the Chapel at Morgan Union Cemetery in Rock Creek with the Rev. David Miller of the Rock Creek United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow the services.

Anna Mae Melina, 86 of East 26th St Ashtabula died Tuesday (Feb. 9th) at the Country Club Retirement Center in Ashtabula. She was born December 20, 1923 in Ashtabula, Ohio the daughter of Louis and Mary (Morrell) Melina and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a 1941 graduate of Ashtabula High School. He had retired from Bank One in Ashtabula as Head Teller. She had also worked for Ward products, Penny Furniture and the Ashtabula County School Employees Credit Union.
She is a member of St. Joseph Church; a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Joseph and she was also a Eucharist Minister at St. Joseph Church. She is also a former member of Altrusa.
Surviving her are three nephews, Dr. Carl (Lois) Melina of Portland, Oregon, Thomas (Debra) Melina of Hopkinton, Mass. And David (Kathleen) of Betheny, Ct., seven great nieces and nephews, Zachery, Katelyn, Chelse, Galen, Emily, Matthew and Meghan; a great great nephew, Pyper and a special friend, Genevieve Ecklund. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Carl Melina.
A mass of Christian burial will be Thursday (Feb. 18th) at 11:00 at St. Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Ave. Ashtabula with Rev. Father Philip Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family asks that everyone go directly to the church.

Donnie R. Waits, age 52, Audrey Pl., Ashtabula, died Tuesday afternoon, 2/9/10 at the Ashtabula Co. Nursing Home following complications of an accident last year.
He was born May 19, 1957 in Florence, AL, the son of Bennie B. & Annie E. (Johnson) Waits and has lived in Ashtabula the past 25 years, coming from Seattle, WA. He was married to Deborah M. Sheffey on January 17, 2008 in Jefferson. Mr. Waits worked for the Rainier Brewery Co. in Seattle and then for Molded Fiber Glass in Ashtabula prior to his accident. He enjoyed weight lifting, playing football and basketball and listening to blues music.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah, six children, Donnie (Victoria) Waits, Jr. of Buffalo, NY, Andre Sheffey, Niecy, Donmaurice, Jermiah & Neariah Waits, all of Ashtabula, a granddaughter, Veyanna Waits, his mother, Annie Hall of Seattle, WA., two God daughters, Jasmine Ruth & Kiki Sandridge, two brothers, Bennie (Victoria) Waits, Jr. & Thurman (Irene) Waits, both of Little Rock, AR, two sisters, Sharon (George) Hooks of Seattle, WA & Bennie Ruth Waits of St. Louis, MO, three step-sisters, Burnetta Hall of Detroit, MI, Denise Hall & Carolyn Hall, both of Buffalo, NY, a special aunt, Mae Bennett of Montgomery, AL, a special niece, LaJuana Hooks of Seattle, WA, a special nephew, Wayne Abbott of Tennessee and numerous other nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, step-brothers, Earl & Freeman Hall, Jr. & a step-sister, Marilyn Hall.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 1:00 P. M. at the Ashtabula Home of the Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, with the rev. George Lampkin of the Greater Love Baptist Church and elder Emery Moore officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Norm Stokes, 91 of North N Myers Rd. Geneva died Wednesday (Feb. 10th) at the Geneva Pointe Nursing Home in Geneva, Ohio. He was born October 8, 1918 in Rome Twp. Ohio the son of Albert and Katherine (Stuart) Stokes and has been a lifetime area resident.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp during World War II. He had been employed by both Geneva Rubber and the City of Geneva.
He is a member of the United Church in Geneva and a former member of the American Legion and the Geneva Eagles.
Surviving him are his daughter, Dianne (Bart Oldenburg) Winnen Oldenburg of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren, Heather Woodard, Angela Armstrong and Jeremy Fleck ; four great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and his foster children, Jim & Marthanna Zigler of Geneva, Grace Neal of Geneva, Helen Doroba of Geneva and Theda Rogers of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Regina Stokes; his second wife, Mildred Stokes; his daughter, Darlene Spargo; a brother, Arthur Stokes and a sister, Ellen Craig.
A graveside service will be held on May 28th 2010 at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva. Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the donor’s choice.
