William “Patrick” Tabler, age 56, Sill Rd., Ashtabula, died Tuesday morning at the Mentor Woods Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where he had been a patient the past five days.

He was born October 29, 1960 in Hawthorne, NV, the son of William E. & June M. (Duff) Tabler.  The family had homes in both Hawthorne and Ashtabula and he alternated between the two places through his teenage years.  However, he lived in Ashtabula most of his adult life.  Pat was an all-round nice guy that would do anything for anybody and could fix about anything.  He attended the Grace Gospel Church. 

Pat loved to be around family, friends and his pets.  He was a natural life teacher that helped so many.  He was creative and crafted, making many things.  He also enjoyed music, reading and writing.

He is survived by four children, Pamela A. Tabler of Mentor, Shane (Tiffany) Farmer of Willoughby, Michelle Westover of Cleveland & Randy Simmons of Ashtabula, his wife, Betty J. Meade Tabler of Ashtabula, 11 grandchildren, Mercedes Tabler, Caleb, Kelsey, Justin, Alyssa & Kalab Farmer, T’kyah Wells, John Evans, Jr., Amyia & Mionia Watkins & Peyton Reed, a sister, Patricia Tabler in Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents and brothers, Raymond & James Duff preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 P. M. at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, with Pastor David Adams of Grace Gospel Church officiating.  Burial will take place in Saybrook Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 2-3 P.
