Thelma L. Kray, age 93, Cromwell Dr., Geneva, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon at her residence.

She was born December 20, 1923 in Denmark Twp., the daughter of Harold E. & Bertha I. (Leonard) Walker and lived in Jefferson all of her life before moving to Geneva in 1990.  She was married to Stephen L. Kray on December 7, 1940 at the Bulah Methodist Church parsonage.

Thelma’s greatest joy was her family, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children.  She loved to go shopping, going out to eat, watch wrestling and enjoyed sewing.  She and Stephen enjoyed camping at Kenessee Camp Grounds.

Her survivors include five children, Richard L. (Mary) Kray of Ft. Smith, AK, Jane L. (David) Valitsky of Yulee, FL, Judy A. Kowalski of Miami, FL, Jeanne L. (Dan) Doll of Harpersfield Twp. & Susan K. (Ernie) Auciello of Painesville, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Doris J. Rider of Andover.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stephen in 2005, a grandson, Steven Kray, a great-granddaughter, Hannah Leigh-Jane a sister, Mildred A. Bates and three brothers, Alan A., Calvin A. & Howard E. Walker.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 1:00 P.M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev Mick Gilliam officiating.  Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
