Robert Scott Caygle, age 60, died Sunday evening at the Jefferson Healthcare Center where he was a resident the past six weeks.

He was born September 19, 1956 in Painesville, the son of Robert R. & Doris A. (Gleason) Caygle and has lived in Painesville the past 20 years, returning from Lucan, MN.  Robert was a 10 year U. S. Navy veteran.  He was taking disability retirement from Chassis Liner fabricating company in Lucan, MN.

Robert enjoyed gardening and his beloved canine, Izzy.

Survivors include his father, Robert of Jefferson, two siblings, Janet L. Wolff of Jefferson & David L. (Lynn) Caygle of Walnut Grove, MN, a nephew and three nieces, Evan (Jamee) Wolff of Ashtabula, Charity (Brian) Rasmussen of Walnut Grove, MN, Christi (Jeremy) Coppola of Detroit, MI & Cassandra (Allen) Vukmirovich of Lynd, MN and seven great-nieces and nephews.

His mother, Doris, preceded him in death in 2009.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Healthcare Center, 222 E. Beech St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Robert Higgins of the Here’s Hope Baptist Church in Madison officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be directed to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH  44004 or the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, OH  44004,
