Phillip R. Burlingame, age 73, Jefferson, died Thursday evening in the emergency room at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.  He has been a resident of the Jefferson Healthcare Center the past six weeks.

Phillip was born January 22, 1942 in Ashtabula the son of the late Howard R. Burlingame & Frances C. (Karg) Johnson and has been a resident of Ashtabula Co. all of his life.  He was a veteran serving with the National Guard.  Mr. Burlingame was employed with Squire Shoppe Bakery for many years.  His interests include NASCAR and gardening.

Survivors include five siblings, Lois I. MacArthur, Phyllis A. (Art) Woodworth, Bruce O. Burlingame & Albert R. (Lynn) Burlingame, all of Jefferson and Ronald L. (Sara) Burlingame of Ashtabula, his step-mother, Betty J. Burlingame of Jefferson and two step-brothers, Mike (Jenny) Patterson & Denny (Barb) Patterson.
