Michael H. Kellogg, 70 of State Rd. Ashtabula died Saturday (June 20th) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born November 3, 1944 in Conneaut, Ohio the son of Vincent and Helen M. (McCready) Kellogg and has been a lifetime area resident.

He was a 1962 graduate of Edgewood High school and served in the Army during the Viet Nam Era. He married Joyce Johnson on December 17, 1966. He worked for ElKem in Ashtabula and then received his Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 from Lakeland Community College. He retired in 2005 from Therma Tool Mill Systems in Perry, Ohio as a designer.

He is a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honorary Fraternity. He enjoyed motorcycles; he loved The Ohio State University Football and Cleveland Browns; he also enjoyed History but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving him are his wife, Joyce Kellogg; a son, Thomas (Ginger) Kellogg of Chesapeake, Virginia; two daughters, Sherri (Chris) McBride of Ashtabula and Kirsten (Todd Tyloch) Kellogg of Los Angeles, California; seven grandchildren, Danielle Kellogg, Kyle McBride, Noelle McBride, Mariah Kellogg, Kelsey Kellogg, Michael McBride and Magen Collins; a special nephew, Jack (Dana) Kellogg, Jr of Twin Lakes, Ohio and a Great-nephew Jacsun (Alyssum) Kellogg. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Jack V. Kellogg.
