Matthew A. Rufo, age 30, Dodgeville Rd., New Lyme Twp., died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon in Ashtabula Twp.

He was born December 12, 1986 in Ashtabula, the son of Anthony J. & Jane (Kirk) Rufo and resided in this area all of his life.  Matt attended Grand Valley High School and the Ashtabula Co. Joint Vocational School.

He is survived by his mother, Jane and sister, Jenn T. Soderstrom, both of New Lyme Twp., two nieces and a nephew, Landyn Amaia, Braelyn Araia & Cordyn Matthew and his grandfather, Robert Bolt of Beckley, WV.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony in 2005 and grandparents, Helen Bolt and Frank & Theresa Rufo.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 4-6 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Jane Rufo or the Ashtabula Co. Coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention, checks made payable to Ashtabula Co. MHRS Board with ACPC on the memo line, 4817 State Rd., Suite 203, Ashtabula, OH  44004, envelopes will also be at the funeral home.
