Lucille Noirot, 86 of Ashtabula died Friday (Feb. 17th) at her home. She was born May 10, 1930 in Block, Tennessee the daughter of William Harvey and Rosa (Sharpe) Sowder.

She had been a cook for many restaurants including the Crow’s Nest, Pirates Alley, Kork & Kettle and retired from the Elks Lodge.

She enjoyed gardening, Decorating Gourds and she loved to make crafts for the Covered Bridge Festival. In her younger years she was an excellent cake decorator.

Surviving her is her daughter, Rosemary (Bryan Johnson) Beavers of Springboro, PA; two grandson, Nicholas and Zachary Beavers; wo brothers, Ray (Esther) Sowder of Crossville, TN and Howard (Sandy) Sowder of Enumclaw, Washington; two sisters, Fay (Heartsell) Porter of Roseville, GA and Georgia (Willard) Reynolds of California and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Noirot in 1972 and by two sisters, Mary Nell Painter and Sarah Brown.

Funeral service will be Wednesday (Feb. 22nd) at 11:00 AM at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 526 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Alisa Nerzejewski, Certified Celebrant officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
