Katherine P. Braunns, age 83 of Andover, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.  She was born on January 14, 1933 in Holmdel, New Jersey, the daughter of Edwin and Ella (Covert) Hamlet.

The past 63 years she has made Ashtabula County her home.  She was a member of the West Williamsfield Congregational Church. She had a strong passion for painting and loved spending time with her family.  She was the foundation of the family and always supported them. 

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Merle E. Braunns of Williamsfield; children, Merla J. (Ron) Jewell of Williamsfield, Maryella S. Braunns (Jeff Smith) of Williamsfield, Edwin M. (Kim) Braunns of Grover, NC; grandchildren, Justin Bittikofer, Autumn (Matt) McCurdy, Courtney Jewell, Bridgette (Matt) Springer, Victoria (Travis) Cook, Caitlyn Braunns; great grandchildren, Alexis Bittikofer and Bryce Springer.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Evelene Speiglemyer.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 14th, 11:00 A. M. in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.  The Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W.
