Karl D. Woodin, age 75, of Dorset, died Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.  He was born September 7, 1940 in Ashtabula, the son of Carl and Stella (Giddings) Woodin.

He worked for Manfredi Motor Transit for 26 years as a long distance truck driver before retiring.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling and stock cars.  He was also an avid Cleveland sports fan.  He graduated from Andover High School with the class of 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Coral F. Woodin of Dorset; sons, David R. Woodin (Beverly Gockerell) of Austinburg and Glen R. “Butch” Woodin of Dorset;  Mother-in-law, Shirley Weir, she made her home with Karl & Coral for the last 20+ years; brother, Richard G. (Joyce) Woodin of Akron; sisters, Donna (Ray) Webker of Greenville, PA. &  Doris (Andy) Furiga of Mesa, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way.

He is preceded by his parents; two sons, Terry D. Woodin and Michael C. Woodin.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 6:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Pastor Randy Brooks of  the Dorset Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00-6:00 P. M. prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Dorset Baptist Church, c/o New Sign Fund, P.O.
