Joanie K. Follette, 84 of Conneaut died Monday (June 19th) at Villa at the Lake in Conneaut. She was born February 9, 1933 in Madison, Ohio the daughter of John Frederick and Gertrude Elizabeth (Fischer) Davidson.

She had been employed as a bank teller in Geneva, secretary to the principal at the Vo-Ed School in Jefferson and several other jobs until her retirement.

She always loved entertaining others and participated in plays and skits for elementary schools in the area. She loved preforming “Casey at the Bat” for over seventy years.  She also loved dressing up for Halloween, roller skating and line dancing. She wrote an article in the monthly newsletter at the Villa at the Lake for several years.

Surviving her are her four children, Michelle (Al) Spieldenner of Pooler, GA, Melissa (Dan) Fenton of Kingsville, Arthur (Deana) Follett of Ashtabula and Melanie (Michael) Corlew of North Kingsville; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Lucy, Bethany, Jacob and T.J.; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Jenny (Bill) Howes of Kingsville and a brother, Jesse (Linda) Davidson of Lakewood, FL, and several nieces and a nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David A. Follette in 1998, twin great-grandchildren, Gracie and Joshua Fenton, and a brother, John W. Davidson.

Graveside service will be held Friday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at Madison Memorial Cemetery, Arcola Drive, Madison, Ohio with Pastor Bill McMinn of the Eagleville Bible Church officiating.
