Jerald W. Obhof, age 69 of Center Rd., Ashtabula, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Saybrook Landing.  He was born on July 28, 1947 in Ashtabula, the son of Max & Helen (Starzynski) Obhof.

He has been a lifelong resident of Ashtabula County.  He worked for Iten Industries for 17 years as a tool and die maker before retiring in 2013.  He loved boating, camping and fishing.  He enjoyed going to casinos car shows and traveling. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Rocco) Obhof of Ashtabula, whom he married on March 9, 1968; children, Julie A. (Kevin) Spangler of North Kingsville, Karen S. Scruggs of Erie, PA; siblings, Larry Obhof of Austinburg, Carol (Rick) Ward of Albion, Donnie Obhof of Madison, Janette Sommer of Chardon, Sally (Jim) Meadors of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Mark Hester, Brendan Hester, Charles Morgan, Frederick Scruggs, Alex Spangler, Ben Spangler; great grandchild, Iliana Morgan.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve and Saybrook Landing for all of their compassion and care.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 12:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory with Rev. Bill Terry of the First United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will take place at Saybrook Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 P. M. at the Jefferson funeral home.
