Jean M. Carlson, age 74, Kathleen Dr., Jefferson, died Thursday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

She was born August 16, 1941 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Edward G. & Julia T. (Sebastian) Hruska and has resided in Jefferson most of her life.  Jean was married to Larry K. Carlson on August 5, 1961 at the Jefferson United Methodist Church.  Jean is a retired employee of the Ashtabula Co. Election Board.

She is a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church where she was very active with the church bazaar and served as liturgist.  Jean was a volunteer and involved with both Henderson Memorial Library and the Jefferson Historical Society.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, walking and bird watching.

Survivors include her husband, Larry, two children, Robert E. (Robin) Carlson of Marion, IA and Kristine K. (Doug) Dickman of Naples, FL, six grandchildren, Meg, Max & Emma Carlson and Aimee, Jillian & Jordan Dickman, three sisters, Gayle (Eugene) Ollila & Valerie Ursetta, both of Stow and Barbara (Thomas) Kraynak of Sagamore Hills and a sister-in-law, Sharon Hruska of Delaware.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Hruska in 2015.

Memorial services will be held Monday at 4:00 P. M. at the Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Dan Bilkert officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday from 1-4 P. M. at the church prior to the service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Jefferson Historical Society, P. O.
