Jamie R. McCann, age 47, W. 8th St., Ashtabula, died Friday, June 30th at his residence.

He was born April 28, 1970 in Cleveland, the son of Michael T. & Renee L. (Rudy) McCann and has been an area resident all of his life.  Jamie was a 1989 Jefferson Area High School graduate.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, serving in both the Desert Storm and Desert Shield Wars.

Jamie was a boilermaker with Local #744 in Cleveland the past 19 years.

His survivors include a son, Dexter McCann, his father, Michael T. (Kim) McCann in Spring Hill, FL, a sister, Tammie R. (Mick) Harrington of Westerville, a brother, Christopher M. (Robin) McCann of Austinburg and five nieces and nephews, Shaunie, Megan, Samantha, Shane & Alexia.  His mother Renee, preceded him in death in 2006.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W.
