Gwen M. Meister, 94 of Holden Dr. Ashtabula died Wednesday (Oct.25th) at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born August 28, 1923 in Vermillion, South Dakota, the daughter of Ole and Christine (Bochlund) Anderson.

She was a graduate of University of South Dakota. She married Charles A. Meister on June 16, 1946.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ashtabula, where she was a Deaconess; a member of the Bible Class and a member of Lois Badger Circle. She enjoyed sewing, garden, quilting, playing Bridge, coloring, using her IPad and she loved taking care of her beautiful home.

Surviving her are her six children, Charles (Marilyn) Meister of Charlotte, NC,  John (Susan) Meister of Lexington, VA, Charlene Roland of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer Jo Meister of Portsmouth, NH, Craig A. (Shelly) Meister of Ashtabula and Christine (Ian) Kinney of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles; two brothers, Gordon and Burt Anderson and two sisters, Dorothy Anderson and Vivian Taylor.

A memorial service will be Saturday (October 28th) at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 4317 Park Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio with Pastor Ken Ayers officiating.  Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.

Calling hour will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
