Glenn E. Rodgers, age 65, St. Rt. 45 South, Austinburg Twp., died Saturday morning at the UH-Geneva Medical Center.

He was born November 2, 1951 in Ashtabula, the son of Glenn E. & Leola Belle (Goff) Rodgers and has been an area resident all of his life.  Glenn was a U. S. Army veteran, serving in Korea, Panama & Germany during the Vietnam Era.  He was married to Laura K. Parsons on August 12, 1971 at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church in Jefferson.  Glenn worked in the oil field industry much of his life.

He was a member of Jefferson Eagles Aerie Lodge #3881 and ABATE.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, firearms, welding, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Laura, a daughter, Roena F. Rodgers of Jefferson, a grandson, Owen Xavier Hilger and five siblings, Glenna L. Hamilton of Ashtabula, Gaylord H. (Sylvia) Rodgers of Ashtabula, Beverly A. (Kenneth) Fertig of Jefferson, Delores M. (Joe) Miller of Jefferson and Rodney C. Rodgers of Edgewood and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Glenn E. Rodgers in 2011 and a sister, Constance J. Post in 2003.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.  Geneva VFW Post #6846 will offer military honors at 4:45 P.
