Dorothy L. Keel, age 82, formerly of Minnesota Ave., Ashtabula, died Friday morning at the Country Club Retirement Center in Ashtabula.

She was born January 18, 1935 in New Lyme Twp., the daughter of Charles & MaeBelle (Hodge) Otto and has resided in this area all of her life.  She was formerly employed with Moses Grocery Store, Reliance Electric and K-Mart.

Dorothy was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Ashtabula Co. Sherriff’s Dept. Auxiliary, the Ashtabula Co. Fair Board and she was a mall walker where she served as an Ambassador.  She enjoyed knitting, baking, crocheting, sewing and flower gardening.

Survivors include three children, William L. (Diana) Millard of Jefferson, Bart A. (Gail) Millard of Ashtabula & Deborah L.(Paul) Michalosky of Mechanicsville, VA, nine grandchildren, Eric & Chad Millard, Brianna Couch & Ashley Michalosky, Morgan & Benjamin Fowler & Zachary Millard, Brittany Liplin and Lyndsay Carr; three stepsons, Alan Keel of Ashtabula, Arlton Keel, Jr of Madison and Rodney (Jennifer) Keel of Ashtabula; three brothers, Gale, James & Donald Otto, two half-sisters, Martha Fortney & Patty Skaggs and a half-brother, Dale Otto.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arlton Ross Keel in 2005, a daughter, Becky J. Fowler in 2001 and a sister, Della Lane.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Pastor Bill McMinn officiating.  Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Bella Care Hospice, Route #45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010
