Dorothy M. Alden, age 93, Westview Dr., Jefferson, died Monday evening at the UH-Geauga Medical Center.

She was born September 16, 1923 in Dorset, the daughter of William & Viola (Cochran) Kyle and has been a lifelong area resident.  She was married to the late Estell R. Alden in St. Louis, MO and had 65 wonderful years together before his death in 2011.

Dorothy was a 25 year employee of the General Electric Corp., retiring in 1984.  She was an active and very involved member at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen F. (Edward) Holstein of Jefferson, a grandson, Terry E. (Melanie) Holstein of Cedar Point, NC and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Post and Caden & Kinsley Holstein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Estell and two brothers, Rupert & Howard Kyle.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Pastors Rod Kincaid and Shirley Deemer officiating.  Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
