Constance J. “Connie” Rink, age 76 died unexpectedly Friday at her residence at Willowbrook Apartments on N. Bend Rd. in Ashtabula.

She was born February 3, 1941 in Boomer, WV, the daughter of Tyree & Jessie (Copenhaver) Flack and spent much of her younger life in Ashtabula County.  She returned to the Jefferson area 20 years ago from Solon.  Connie married Kurt K. Rink, eloping in Maryland on March 19, 1959.

She was a member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, enjoyed baking and gardening and loved spending time with family.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth L. (Cheryl) Rink of Daisytown, PA, three grandchildren, James (Laura) Burch, Desiree (Anthony Lindeman) Duncan & Kendra (Samuel) Palmisano, six great-grandchildren and five siblings, Marian Sullivan of Port Charles, FL, Ruth Reeves of Lenox Twp, Lenora Evans in Maryland, Mary Lou Hines of Jefferson and Donald Flack in Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kurt in 1996 and a son, Kurt C. Rink in 2012.

Memorial services will be Monday, 1/8/18, at 5:00 P. M. at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 E. Satin St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Rod Kincaid officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday from 3-5 P. M. prior to the service at the church.
