Alta M. Coy, 82 of Geneva died Friday (Jan. 19th) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born August 3, 1935 in Geneva the daughter of Henry and Florence (Libert) Coy.
She was a graduate of Geneva High School and had worked in Mentor as an office supervisor for 31 years and for the Geneva Schools for 15 years.
She enjoyed politics and she loved all her nieces and nephews
Surviving her are her three sisters, Hazel Coy, Edith Coy and Betty Bowser all of Geneva; her brother, Kenneth Coy of Geneva and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Annabelle Goff, Gertrude Coy and Jane Goff and three brothers, David Coy, Perry Coy and Robert Libert.
A memorial service will be Thursday (Jan. 25th) at 2:00 PM at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 323 South Broadway, Geneva with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
